With a new, innovative method to break down cellulose, the sustaintech company Renewcell has established itself as the only company in the world that can recycle clothes on a large scale.
The upscaling to several (future) facilities and greatly increased production has meant a need for a full-scale, "future-proof", integrated business system. Together with Implema, a member of United VARs in Sweden, the company has put in place a completely new SAP S/4HANA business system and went from start-up to go-live within 10 weeks.
Modern business system in place
Realizing the need for a modern and future-proof business system where finances, purchasing of raw materials and production can be handled directly in the system with increased transparency and standardized and faster processes, Renewcell contacted Implema.
The two companies started the project in the summer of 2021 with a short preliminary study and at the end of August, the implementation began. By the first of November, Phase 1 had been completed; Renewcell's new business system, SAP S/4HANA, was in place with processes for finance, purchasing, and sales. In the next step, phase 2, additional processes will be activated.
