Successful SAP technology applications from Austrian companies were again honored in three categories. The event took place as part of the SAP Quality Awards ceremony in Palais Coburg in Vienna on November 9.
Saatbau Linz was honored for its successful CRM implementation with digitization partner, United VARs member B4B Solutions, impressing judges with the exemplary introduction of SAP Sales Cloud in the ‘Rapid Time to Value’ category.
Digitization as a competitive factor
Ulla Lambauer, Cloud Consultant, was responsible for project management on behalf of B4B Solutions: “We are delighted to be able to accompany Saatbau Linz on its digital transformation in terms of customer experience, and congratulations on the award! The entire project team did a really great job here. How to successfully implement SAP
“Think big, start small, act fast” is not the description of the Rapid Time to Value award category. Rather, this is the first tip from Martin Schönauer, Head of Information Management at Saatbau Linz, when asked about his personal success criteria for IT projects. “ Think big for me means that I have defined the strategic goal. In this case, it was clear: Modern software is needed for up-to-date customer service, which also supports the rapidly growing group with lean processes in expanding its competitive strength. Then it's about bringing the project to go live with basic functionality, which is what I mean by start small. And behind act almost quite simply, there is the realization that projects will come to a dead-end if they are too long. Working quickly is an absolute success criterion.”
Successful project planning at a high-quality level, as well as fast and cost-efficient implementation close to the SAP standard, are decisive for a successful SAP implementation. A total of 22 projects from all over Austria were submitted, of which 15 projects were nominated for the final after review.
