SEIDOR is participating in the 69th Conde de Godó Tournament as an official collaborator and in doing so, it simultaneously celebrates the company’s 40th anniversary. With Seidor’s participation this year being so special, they wanted to share it with all in the United VARs alliance.
The 69th Conde de Godó Trophy is being held from 16 to 24 April on the courts of the Real Club de Tenis de Barcelona. This year, the organization of the largest sporting event of the season has wanted to bet on a digital, sustainable, and business revolution.
SEIDOR’s vision is to become the technological consultancy of reference, not only in Spain but worldwide. Their goal at Godó is to strengthen and establish relationships with customers and main partners, such as SAP, Microsoft, or IBM and all will enjoy direct access to the tennis courts from the venue’s premium seating area. Additionally, various Seidor business departments are presenting so there is a lot going on!
A More Sustainable Future for our Environment
SEIDOR wants to build a more authentic future for people and the planet and is an official collaborator of sustainable events at the 69th Conde de Godó Trophy. The tournament is committed to an ambitious sustainability plan to make this sporting event the great benchmark of respect for the environment:
- In 2022, it will become the first ATP tennis tournament in the world to officially certify its carbon footprint. Its aim is to determine, evaluate and communicate the impact of the activity on climate change.
- The strings of tennis rackets will be transformed into 100% sustainable clothing, achieving a saving of 62 kilos of CO₂. This would be equivalent to the savings in CO₂ that would be achieved by stopping charging 91 mobiles for 1 year.
- The possibility of recycling the 600 ball tubes that are being used during the tournament is being studied, to give them a second life within the textile world.
