Welcome to the heartwarming world of Chaithanya Happy Home, also known as the Chaithanya Mahila Mandali Rehab Centre (CMM-RHC). There are over 70 girls residing at the Rehab Centre, each with a unique background and set of experiences.
Established in 2001, Chaithanya Happy Home Orphanage serves as a beacon of hope in preventing second-generation girls from becoming victims of forced abuse, due to their vulnerable status as orphans and their high-risk backgrounds. The institution’s commitment to the girls’ young lives is unwavering and here are some of the life skills provided:
- Quality Education - Empowering our girls with the tools to combat illiteracy and compete effectively in modern society.
- Career Guidance – Offering career counselling to help them make informed choices and pursue suitable career paths.
- Nutritional Support – Ensuring well-balanced nutrition to address malnourishment issues.
- Health and Fitness – Encouraging physical activities, including yoga, for their holistic growth.
- Skill Development – Equipping the girls with valuable skills for self-sustainability in the face of unemployment.
- Psycho-social Support – Providing ongoing meditation sessions, counselling, and self-defence training to address the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the girls.

United VARs charity partner, Kleine Hilfsaktion, is a small non-profit association based in Germany and has partnered with us for many years, this year in India. Nadine Urbansky from the Charity has provided us with an update of current landscaping and construction works being carried out at the orphanage, that we are supporting:
1. Excavation and Construction Work: The current focus is on excavation and the construction of side walls for planned plantations. A sandpit is being prepared to install exercise equipment for children, using stones and bricks, followed by plastering work around the area.
2. Fabrication Work: To enhance safety and aesthetics, they are fabricating covers for the open transformer and generator. Additionally, a new gate is being installed on the existing side, and fencing is being erected around the labor quarters on the right side of the site.
3. Water Body and Meditation Area: Construction work for creating a water body along the high-rise wall on the right side is underway. The team is also preparing the area beneath the solar plant to create a peaceful space for meditation.
4. Ground Leveling: Mud filling work is in progress to level the ground, ensuring a safe and even surface for future use.
Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by businesses to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of society at large.
