What is United VARs Reference portal?
The Reference Portal is an application that allows the hosting of information of references carried out by United Vars members. The Reference Portal is there to share and showcase publicly but also internally, the extent of experience our members have with global, local and multi partner references and our success stories.
Goal
The goal is to support demand generation and sales’ cycles for each of us and most importantly, increase sales.
Who is it for?
Members – our Solution Partners also but primarily our members - and we believe that the Catalogue is an attractive source of information for our customers.
When was the Reference portal created and what changes have been made
While United VARs references have been around for a few years now, they were in the form of an excel document. Each member listed their references, submitted them in an excel document, which were then combined to a mega document, viewable to the whole alliance within JAM.
In 2022 we made the decision to modernize our references and turn them into a more user-friendly reference portal for our members, as well as:
- being able to maintain and update their own references.
- allow employees of UVARs members to log in and view internal references and information, not viewable/available to the general public.
Future Development
We hope to get more and more references added by members every year and have them available online as a showcase to potential customers and prospects.
Additionally, we aspire to have more global references, where members have worked together. These could be the basis for a social media campaign or general social media sharing in the future. Any member who has added a reference to the reference portal and would like our support with sharing and marketing it is strongly urged to contact us to have a conversation about how, and in which areas, we can support you.
This project is the result of our alliance development strategy, focused on the modernization and optimization of services that we offer to our partners and members.
