CleanPart cleans industrial materials and is owned by Mitsubishi Chemicals. In the near future it is due to merge with the Mitsubishi Chemicals group, which prompted them to look at consolidated ERP systems.

Paul Spranger, CFO of the CleanPart Group, says, “You can't run a company successfully nowadays if you have a disintegrated ERP structure with many different software interfaces, it just leads to complications, errors and slows everything down. We need materials management to communicate with accounting, accounting to communicate with sales, and so on. When we merge with Mitsubishi Chemicals we will also be tripling our reporting requirements. That would be impossible without a consolidated ERP system”. CleanPart chose to move from their legacy system, SAP ECC, to the intelligent ERP, SAP S/4HANA, hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud. Moving to cloud was a no-brainer: once they had done a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculation, the management was convinced.

They chose to move with All for One’s CONVERSION/4 software-and-services package because it could get them up and running on SAP S/4HANA in the fastest time and for the least investment. CONVERSION/4 allows customers to keep their existing structure, transferring it to the new platform so they don’t have to start from scratch. This minimises the need for customisation and means the conversion can be done very quickly. All for One also used SNP’s CrystalBridge™ for the technical transition and for facilitating further release upgrades – a service that is part of CONVERSION/4.

But CONVERSION/4 is a business transformation service that goes far beyond the technical side. It addresses the employees too and opens up the potential within a company’s business processes to introduce further efficiencies and innovation.

Wolfgang Ortner, All for One’s Senior Director of Customer Success Management says, “The business goals of the project were achieved in only four months. It has been done cost effectively, and now the foundation for future innovation has been established”.

Paul adds, “The go-live went relatively smoothly, which can be attributed to two reasons: first, our dedicated employees who have known the system for many years, and the support from All for One. I mean, they knew their business. And they were very professional in helping us get things done in a timely manner”.
